Welcome to Potterymarketto — a small, family-run shop based in Japan, born from our deep love for food, cooking, and, above all, tableware.

Growing up, my mother always treasured dishes passed down from her own mother. She would often say, “This was your Grandma’s,” as she plated our dinner. Those moments filled our home with warmth and memory. It was through those cherished family meals that my love for tableware began to bloom — a love I’ve carried with me ever since.

During the pandemic, like many, we spent much of our time at home, cooking every meal. Amid the repetition, it was our favorite dishes and bowls that brought variety and beauty back into our days. We rediscovered how tableware isn’t just functional — it’s an expression of self, a celebration of everyday life, and a source of comfort. That realization lit a fire in us to share that joy with others.
