Chopsticks of Yamanaka Lacquerware (Two in a SET)

In old Japan, it was believed that used chopsticks contained the spirit of the person using them. It was thought that the chopsticks became that person’s alter ego, and thus were a connection to the divine.  Therefore, instead of sharing chopsticks, each person usually owns their own dedicated pair at home.  They are not even shared between husband and wife, or parent and child!  Someone else’s chopsticks are never used at home.
Why don’t you purchase your own pair of chopsticks and make your meals a little more personal and special. You can also add a pop of color!

*Although the painted finish is durable, be aware that peeling or chipping may occur after frequent use over a long period of time.
*These chopsticks are meant for eating. Please avoid cooking with them as the extreme heat and possible flame will ruin them quickly.
